After an hour of stacking wood with two eight-year-olds who are excited about the start of school tomorrow, can I just offer a public apology to everyone I knew as a child?
I am sorry for all the times I kept talking and would not be quiet. Even when you begged.
That is all.
(Dad and Kristi, you can stop laughing now.)

Too funny!
Sorry, Melinda, I'm afraid I can't! :-) Justice is served. Actually, though, with the exception of the time you told Mom about the surprise puppy, your talking didn't bother me. (And I've forgiven you for that incident!)
I actually sent Laurel to her room during dinner last night because she wouldn't stop talking! Grant was gone and all three kids talked and bickered non-stop through the first half of dinner until I couldn't stand it anymore. I asked them all to just be quiet and eat for awhile. 10 seconds later Laurel starts talking . . . again!
